It is a great pleasure to welcome all of you to the 24th Congress of Vietnam Pediatric Association and the 17th ASEAN Pediatric Federation Congress, which will be held from 14th to 17th October 2020 in Hanoi, Vietnam. These are particularly professional events and all of us will work hard to assure that they will be not only the most impressive gathering of pediatric specialists in the ASEAN Community, but also an equally impressive display of ASEAN unity.
The 24th Congress of Vietnam Pediatric Association and the 17th ASEAN Pediatric Federation Congress will be definitely an exciting experience that pushes ASEAN cooperation to a new level, providing pediatricians in the region with a platform to share experience and knowledge, to discuss and debate the important and contemporary issues, and update on technical innovations for diagnosis and treatment for variety of diseases in children. With special lectures, symposia, country-specific forums, free academic papers that encourage all of us to keep moving forward and social events that foster networking and friendship, the 24th Congress of Vietnam Pediatrics Association and the 17th ASEAN Pediatric Federation Congress 2020 will truly be a highly anticipated event of the year.

On behalf of the Vietnam Pediatric Association (VPA), we are greatly honored to propose Hanoi City to be the host of the upcoming 17th ASEAN Pediatric Federation Congress 2020.
We know that ASEAN Pediatric Federation (APF) is one of the organizations with many members who are leading professionals in the field of pediatrics. APF is the place for sharing updated and concise knowledge and clinical skills, with tight connection between members in ASEAN region. APF always creates the best condition for the development of APF’s members. We have become official member of this organization since the early days of VPA establishment. The proposed Conference venue is the National Convention Center. It is recently considered as one of the 3 largest convention centers in the South East Asia with total are of 64 hectares. National Convention Center has experience in organizing many international conferences such as APEC 2006, ASEM 2004, 17th ASEAN Congress of Cardiology 2008. Finally, we welcome you to Hanoi, a city with thousand years of culture and traditional cuisines.

It is my pleasure to welcome you as the President of APF to the 17th ASEAN Paediatric Federation Congress 2020 (APFC 2020) at Hanoi, Vietnam.
ASEAN Paediatric Federation is committed to create an environment in the ASEAN region to discuss, share and learn from each other in among the ASEAN nations as well as from other colleagues all over the world. We are to serve a common goal, that is the wellbeing and healthy lives of our ASEAN children and children all over the world. This congress hopes to support and improve the practices of pediatrics in ASEAN countries and more.
